History & Background

  • In the early days it was linked to the RSPCA but is now an autonomous organization.

  • Locally employed administration and kennel staff -> Supporting the local community and educating.

Services

  • Boarding animals whilst owners are out.
  • Grooming of dogs – shampooing, dipping, trimming and claws can be trimmed.
  • Rabies vaccinations – Tuesday and Fridays – 9.30 to 11.00.
  • Clinics daily – run by a qualified Vet based at the SPCA.
  • Microchipping of dogs and cats.
  • School visits for education & raising awareness in general public.
  • Dog training courses
  • Giving assistance to members of the community who have animals but are unable to afford veterinary care.
  • Helping schools, businesses and individuals control feral cat and dog populations.
  • Providing animals for adoption
